My ratings for a book are simple:

It was fabulous. I couldn't put it down and it kept me up all night reading.

It was really great. The story kept me intrigued and coming back for more.

It was good. I enjoyed it and it was easy to get back into it when I picked up where I left off

It was okay, but I wasn't pulled into the story and it didn't keep me interested.

It was characterless. I had a difficult time finishing it and didn't enjoy it
